Smolink Flat Cat8 Ethernet Cable 50 ft

This flat Cat8 cable reaches 50 ft with RJ45 connectors at each end. It supports up to 2000 MHz bandwidth and 40 Gbps data transfer speed. The 100 % oxygen-free copper conductors use 26 AWG shielded twisted pairs. A UV-resistant PVC jacket protects the cable indoors and outdoors.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Home and office users who need a reliable wired link for routers, modems, consoles, PCs, IP cameras, NAS or VoIP phones will benefit. The flat profile eases routing under carpets or along skirting boards. Installations that require in-wall fire-rated cable or lengths beyond 50 ft should consider other options.

Category 8 rating and 40 Gbps capability

The Cat8 specification delivers 2000 MHz bandwidth and up to 40 Gbps throughput over the full 50 ft run. This rating determines whether the cable matches the performance ceiling of your networking hardware.

Questions about this item

What devices need an RJ45 port to use this Cat8 cable?

Any router, switch, modem, gaming console, laptop, smart TV, NAS or IP camera with a standard RJ45 jack will connect directly to this cable.

Will the 26AWG conductors and 2000 MHz bandwidth work with my older Cat6a patch panel?

Yes, the cable is backwards compatible with Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a and Cat7 infrastructure, so the panel will pass traffic at its rated speed.

How can I verify the 40 Gbps link is active after plugging it in?

Check the port LEDs on both ends for a solid link light and run a speed test or file transfer that saturates the connection beyond 10 Gbps.
