Converts a 1.8 inch Micro SATA drive to a 44 pin IDE interface for legacy laptops and industrial equipment
This PCBA adapter converts a 1.8 inch Micro SATA 7+9 pin female interface to a standard IDE 44 pin male header. It enables 1.8 inch Micro SATA hard disk drives to connect with legacy IDE based laptops and industrial devices. The plug and play design works with older Windows systems and embedded hardware for data migration or retro upgrades.
The compact circuit board construction provides stable signal transmission between the drive and host system. Its small form factor fits inside tight notebook bays and industrial enclosures without extra cabling. The direct header connection reduces signal loss and simplifies installation in space constrained legacy equipment.
The adapter draws no external power and adds negligible load to the IDE bus during normal use. With no active components or moving parts it operates silently and generates no measurable heat. Reliability depends on the host system's IDE power delivery and the condition of the connected Micro SATA drive.

The adapter passes the native Micro SATA signal through to the IDE 44 pin header, so the practical throughput is limited by the drive's own SATA revision and the legacy IDE host controller.
The compact circuit board plugs directly into the 44 pin male header on the host side and presents a 7+9 pin female Micro SATA socket for the 1.8 inch drive, requiring only the space needed for both connectors.
Align the 44 pin male header with the IDE socket on the host, press the board firmly until seated, then attach the Micro SATA drive to the 7+9 pin female port, ensuring the keyed SATA connector is fully inserted before powering on.
