Converts a 1.8-inch mSATA SSD to standard 7+15Pin SATA and includes a USB 2.0 cable for external portable storage
This adapter converts a 1.8-inch mSATA solid-state drive into a standard 7+15Pin SATA interface. The included SATA to USB 2.0 cable then lets you connect the drive externally to a computer. It is aimed at users who want to reuse idle 1.8-inch mSATA SSDs for portable storage, data recovery or disk testing without buying a separate enclosure.
The board draws power directly from the host SATA or USB connection and requires no external supply. Passive operation means there is no fan noise during normal use. The simple circuit layout keeps heat low enough for occasional file backup or data migration tasks.
The small circuit board uses optimised wiring for stable signal transmission and fits easily into tight workspaces. Hot-swap capability lets you insert or remove the mSATA drive while the system is running, which is convenient for quick disk checks or mobile backups. No drivers are needed on Windows, macOS or Linux.

Insert the 1.8-inch mSATA SSD into the onboard slot, secure it if a screw hole is present, then plug the board's 7+15Pin SATA connector into a SATA port or use the included SATA to USB 2.0 cable for external USB connection. No drivers are required.
The USB 2.0 cable may wear at the connectors or develop internal wire fatigue after repeated plugging and unplugging; replace it with any standard SATA to USB 2.0 cable if data errors or loose fit occur.
The USB 2.0 interface caps sustained transfer at its native 2.0 signalling rate, so throughput will plateau there well before the SATA side or the mSATA SSD reaches its own limits.
