Converts 1.8" ZIF/LIF CE drives to a 26-pin mSATA interface for laptop, industrial and retro upgrades
This adapter connects 1.8inch ZIF/LIF CE hard drives and SSDs to a standard 26pin mSATA slot. It is built for technicians and hobbyists who need to reuse legacy ultrathin storage in newer systems. The board requires no drivers and works immediately after installation. It suits notebook upgrades, industrial equipment repair and retro computing projects.
The compact PCB plugs directly into an mSATA socket and accepts the ZIF/LIF CE drive on the opposite side. No extra cables or power connections are needed beyond what the host slot provides. This frees the builder from sourcing rare ZIF-compatible host hardware. The low-profile design fits tight chassis spaces common in industrial PCs and vintage laptops.
The package contains only the adapter board itself. No mounting screws, ribbon cables or software utilities are included. Users must supply any required fasteners or drive caddies separately. The bare-board approach keeps cost low for workshops that already stock installation hardware.

The adapter is a passive PCB that simply routes the ZIF/LIF CE signals to the 26pin mSATA connector, so the sustained speed is capped by the drive you attach and the host controller, not by the adapter itself.
It has no active components, so it produces no audible noise and negligible heat; any temperature rise comes from the connected drive and the host system.
You need a system with a free 26pin mSATA slot and a 1.8inch ZIF/LIF CE drive to plug into the adapter.
