1×2 SDI Splitter

The SMUGDESK 1×2 SDI splitter duplicates a single SDI source into two identical outputs for simultaneous display. It serves installers and operators who need real-time video distribution across two screens in surveillance, broadcast or production environments.

Plug-and-Play Operation

No drivers or software are required, so the unit is operational immediately after connecting cables. This reduces setup time on location and eliminates compatibility issues with host systems in live-video or security-monitoring deployments.

1080P Signal Capacity

The splitter maintains 1080P high-definition video with low latency across both outputs, handling typical Full HD camera feeds without degradation. It does not support higher resolutions such as 4K, so workflows requiring UHD distribution will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

Will the BNC connectors on the SDI splitter need periodic replacement under normal use?

The unit uses standard BNC connectors rated for repeated mating cycles; no scheduled connector replacement is required unless physical damage occurs.

What resolution ceiling limits the splitter when running continuously?

The device is specified for 1080P video, so that resolution is the maximum it will pass without downscaling.

Does the splitter generate noticeable heat or fan noise during all-day operation?

The compact passive design has no fan and draws minimal power, so it runs silently and stays cool to the touch even with continuous use.
