Black 20cm 18AWG 8-pin CPU power extension cable with male and female connectors

SMUGDESK

SMUGDESK 20cm 18AWG 8Pin CPU Power Extension Cord

SKU CH-6AY6-A2M5H

An 18 AWG extension adds 20 cm to an EPS 8-pin CPU power cable for stable delivery in large or custom builds

  • Extends CPU power reach for large chassis builds with 20cm length
  • 18AWG thick copper wire ensures stable current delivery under full load
  • Standard EPS 8Pin male-to-female connector fits motherboard CPU power interface
  • Reinforced locking connectors prevent loose contact during heavy CPU operation
  • Flexible cable body enables tidy routing for improved internal airflow

Purpose and Fit

This SMUGDESK extension cord adds 20cm of reach to the EPS 8-pin CPU power link between a power supply and a motherboard. It is built for builders who find the stock PSU cable too short in large cases, vertical GPU layouts or custom water-cooling loops.

What the Bundle Changes

The cord uses 18AWG copper conductors to keep voltage drop low when a high-power CPU runs at full load. Reinforced male and female 8-pin EPS connectors lock securely, reducing the chance of intermittent contact that can cause sudden shutdowns.

Build and Daily Use

Multiple insulation layers wrap the flexible cable body, helping prevent short-circuits inside a crowded chassis. The pliable jacket supports clean routing for better airflow, and the plug-and-play design needs no tools — though the EPS 8-pin must not be confused with a PCIe 8-pin graphics connector.

Questions about this item

Will the 18AWG wire need replacement after years of continuous CPU load?

The 18AWG copper wire is rated for stable current delivery and reduced voltage drop, so it does not require scheduled replacement under normal use.

What limit appears first when the 8Pin EPS extension runs at full CPU load all day?

The reinforced locking connectors prevent loose contact, so the practical limit is the PSU's own output rating rather than the cable itself.

How much heat does the 20cm extension add inside the case during all-day operation?

The thick 18AWG gauge minimises resistive loss, so the cable adds negligible heat and does not affect internal airflow when routed neatly.
