Adds four M.2 NVMe SSDs via a PCIe 4.0/3.0 x16 slot with a heatsink, requiring motherboard bifurcation
The SMUGDESK adapter converts one PCIe 4.0/3.0 x16 slot into four M.2 NVMe ports. It accepts 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 length drives for broad SSD compatibility. The card targets server and workstation builders who need dense, high-speed storage in a single expansion slot.
Your motherboard must support PCIe bifurcation so the x16 link splits into four x4 lanes. Without that feature only one port will operate. The on-board heatsink draws heat away from all four SSDs, reducing the need for extra case airflow directly over the card.
The heatsink maintains stable temperatures during prolonged heavy I/O, preventing thermal throttling that can cut write speeds. This makes the card suitable for workloads such as video editing caches, database volumes or large dataset processing. Builders who cannot enable bifurcation or who need RAID functions not provided by the card should consider other solutions.

No published specifications for this item yet.
The card splits one PCIe 4.0/3.0 x16 slot into four M.2 NVMe ports, so four drives can operate simultaneously when the motherboard enables bifurcation.
The integrated heatsink covers all four M.2 slots and is designed to dissipate heat during long-time running to maintain stable performance.
PCIe bifurcation must be supported and enabled in the motherboard firmware for the card to expose all four M.2 NVMe ports.
