Compatibility and Use

This cable is an exact replacement part CN-0C8T8C C8T8C built for Dell Optiplex 3020, 7020 and 9020 desktops. It converts the proprietary 8-pin power supply interface into four independent SATA power connectors. The design enables simultaneous power delivery for multiple SSDs, HDDs and optical drives. It is intended for storage expansion upgrades on these specific workstation models.

Installation and Common Issues

The plug-and-play design requires no wiring modifications; you simply swap the original cable directly. Precision-molded connectors ensure tight contact to prevent loose connections during operation. Durable insulation casing reduces short-circuit risks for long-term reliability. The most frequent issue is attempting to use the cable with a different power supply pinout, which will not fit or function correctly.

Pre-Order Checks

Verify that your system is a Dell Optiplex 3020, 7020 or 9020 desktop before ordering. Confirm the existing power supply uses the proprietary 8-pin host connector this cable requires. Ensure your chassis has physical space for the additional SATA drives you plan to install. Check that the total power draw of all connected devices stays within the supply’s rated capacity.
