SMUGDESK

SMUGDESK 8K Fiber Optic DisplayPort 1.4 Cable 100Feet

SKU CH-2BSX-0ZNCK

A 100-foot fibre-optic DisplayPort 1.4 cable carrying 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz with 32.4 Gbps bandwidth, gold-plated connectors and HDR support

Cable Length 100 Feet

  • 8K resolution at 60Hz for ultra-sharp visuals
  • 4K at 144Hz refresh rate for smooth gaming
  • 4Gbps bandwidth handles high-frame-rate content
  • Fibre optic construction resists electromagnetic interference
  • 100-foot length works without signal boosters

Long-distance 8K DisplayPort 1.4 cable

This 100-foot fibre-optic DisplayPort 1.4 cable delivers 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz over extreme distances. It targets installers, VR enthusiasts and home-cinema builders who need reliable ultra-high-definition links between source and display without intermediate boosters. The optical construction eliminates electromagnetic interference that plagues copper at this length.

Optical path and gold-plated connectors

Fibre-optic cores replace copper, removing the need for external signal amplification while maintaining full 32.4 Gbps bandwidth. Gold-plated connectors resist corrosion and ensure durable mating cycles. The TPE jacket protects the fragile glass fibres during in-wall pulls and tight bends, preserving signal integrity for 8K, HDR10, 3D and 32-channel audio streams.

Single-direction installation requirement

The cable is directional: one plug is marked Source for the GPU or console, the other Display for the monitor or headset. Reversing the ends breaks the link entirely. Verify the 100-foot run matches your routing before pulling, because the fixed length cannot be shortened or extended in the field.

Questions about this item

How often will the gold-plated connectors need cleaning or replacement?

The 24K gold-plated connectors resist corrosion and wear, so they do not require scheduled cleaning or replacement under normal indoor use.

What limits 8K@60Hz or 4K@144Hz performance over the full 100-foot run?

The fiber-optic construction maintains the full 32.4 Gbps bandwidth across the entire length, so the DisplayPort 1.4 link itself is not the limiting factor.

Does the cable draw extra power or generate heat during all-day operation?

It is a passive fiber-optic cable with no active electronics, so it adds no measurable power draw or heat to the system.
