Purpose-built Power Cable

The SMUGDESK CN-07G26H is a new SATA power cable engineered specifically for Dell OptiPlex 3040, 5040 and 7040 MT tower desktops. It converts the proprietary Mini 8Pin header on the original power supply into standard SATA power connectors for hard drives and optical drives. The OEM-matched wiring ensures stable power delivery to prevent drive recognition errors.

Fit and Limitations

This cable suits technicians and owners adding an optical drive or extra SATA storage to the listed OptiPlex towers where the PSU lacks standard power outputs. It is not for users whose systems use a different motherboard power header or who need to power drives in non-Dell chassis or smaller form-factor OptiPlex models.

Decisive Specification

The defining specification is the Mini 8Pin to SATA conversion built to OEM part numbers CN-07G26H, 07G26H and 7G26H for the 3040, 5040 and 7040 MT platforms. Only this exact pin-out and connector moulding guarantees a secure, vibration-resistant fit inside the original case.
