DisplayPort 1.4 cable for 8K and high-refresh gaming
This DisplayPort 1.4 cable connects a graphics card or laptop to a monitor, projector or television. It supports 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz and 2K at 165 Hz for gaming and media playback. The 6.6 ft length suits typical desk setups. Gold-plated connectors and a braided jacket protect the signal.
Bandwidth ceiling and compression at 32.4 Gbps
The HBR3 link runs at 32.4 Gbps, which carries 4K 144 Hz or 8K 60 Hz only with DSC 1.2 compression enabled. Without compression the pipe cannot transport full-colour 8K 60 Hz or 4K 144 Hz. HDCP 2.2 allows protected 4K streaming content. The cable is passive, so signal quality depends on source and sink equalisation.
Comfortable at 4K high refresh.
The cable handles 4K 144 Hz and 2K 165 Hz comfortably with DSC active. At 8K 60 Hz it relies entirely on compression; raw 8K 60 Hz exceeds the 32.4 Gbps budget. HDR metadata passes through when the display and GPU support it. Buyers needing uncompressed 8K or longer runs without signal boosters should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item
Should I choose the 6.6 ft or 10 ft length for my setup?
The 6.6 ft cable suits typical desk distances between a GPU and monitor. The 10 ft version adds reach for wall-mounted displays or longer routing behind furniture.
What does 8K@60Hz actually deliver on my monitor?
It carries 7680x4320 at 60 Hz over HBR3 bandwidth. Your GPU and display must both support DSC 1.2 and 8K timing for the full resolution to appear.
Does the DisplayPort 1.4 interface limit 4K@144Hz in practice?
DP 1.4 with HBR3 provides 32.4 Gbps. 4K 3840x2160 at 144 Hz fits within that link using DSC 1.2 compression, so the cable does not cap the signal.
