Adds two SATA 3.0 6Gbps ports via an unused M.2 A+E Key 2230 slot for extra storage drives
This adapter converts an unused motherboard M.2 A+E Key 2230 slot into two independent SATA 3.0 ports for desktop storage expansion. It targets builders who have exhausted onboard SATA connectors and need additional drive connections without consuming a PCIe slot. The card supports standard 2.5 inch SSDs, HDDs and SATA optical drives for extra capacity.
The board plugs directly into the M.2 A+E Key slot typically reserved for Wi-Fi or Bluetooth modules, leaving traditional PCIe expansion slots free for other cards. Each connected drive requires its own SATA data cable and a SATA power connection from the power supply, neither of which are included. The adapter is strictly limited to M.2 A+E Key slots and will not function in M Key, B Key or B+M Key M.2 interfaces.
Hardware-based signal conversion operates without driver installation on mainstream Windows desktop systems, providing consistent SATA 3.0 6Gbps bandwidth per port during extended transfers. The adapter does not implement RAID functionality; any array capability depends entirely on the motherboard chipset. Removing an existing M.2 wireless module is necessary before installation, which eliminates Wi-Fi and Bluetooth from that slot.

No published specifications for this item yet.
Each port caps at SATA 3.0 6Gbps theoretical bandwidth, so sustained transfers on both drives simultaneously cannot exceed that per-port ceiling.
The small-form-factor board draws minimal power from the M.2 A+E slot and adds negligible heat inside the chassis.
You need two SATA data cables plus two SATA power leads from your PSU; neither is included with the adapter.
