Versatile Mini DP 2.1 Link
This Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort 2.1 cable connects laptops or desktops with a Mini DP port to standard DisplayPort monitors, TVs or projectors. It also works in reverse from a full-size DP source to a Mini DP display. The bi-directional design supports Thunderbolt 1 and 2 ports on compatible MacBooks.
Passive Cable Thermals
As a passive copper cable it generates no heat and draws no external power during operation. There are no active components to produce noise, so the link runs silently in any environment. Normal use adds zero thermal load to the host or display.
Broad Format Support Included
The cable carries 80 Gbps bandwidth enabling 16K at 60 Hz, 8K at 120 Hz, 4K at 240 Hz and 2K at 360 Hz with HDR10, Dolby Vision and 10-bit deep colour. Audio transport covers Dolby Atmos and 32 channels. Gaming features include G-Sync, FreeSync, DSC 1.2 and VRR without extra software.

Questions about this item
How do I connect this Mini DisplayPort 2.1 cable to a Thunderbolt 2 port on my MacBook?
Plug the Mini DisplayPort end directly into the Thunderbolt 2 port; the cable is pin-compatible and carries DisplayPort 2.1 signals through that interface.
Will the gold-plated connectors on this 6.6ft cable need cleaning or replacement over time?
The connectors are gold-plated to resist corrosion; under normal indoor use they do not require scheduled cleaning or replacement.
At what resolution does the 80 Gbps bandwidth limit appear first during sustained 10-bit HDR gaming?
16K at 60 Hz with 10-bit HDR uses the full 80 Gbps link, so that resolution hits the bandwidth ceiling before lower modes such as 8K at 120 Hz or 4K at 240 Hz.
