SMUGDESK

SMUGDESK PH42 Dual M.2 NVMe & NGFF SSD to PCIe Adapter

SKU CH-03VZ-V0JS0

Adds one NVMe drive and one SATA SSD to a desktop via a single PCIe slot

  • Dual-slot design runs NVMe and SATA SSDs together
  • 32Gbps NVMe plus 6Gbps SATA speeds for fast storage
  • MKey, BKey and B+MKey support fits most M.2 drives
  • Works in PCIe X4, X8 and X16 slots for broad compatibility
  • Included SATA cable delivers stable power for reliable dual-drive operation

Dual M.2 Adapter with PCIe and SATA Support

The SMUGDESK PH42 adapter lets a desktop or workstation run one M.2 NVMe drive and one NGFF SATA drive at the same time through a single PCIe slot. It accepts MKey, BKey and B+MKey modules for broad compatibility with existing solid-state storage.

Ideal for Dual-Drive Expansion.

Builders adding high-speed NVMe capacity alongside a legacy SATA SSD will benefit from the simultaneous 32Gbps and 6Gbps channels. Systems with only one M.2 slot on the motherboard, or cases lacking a free PCIe X4, X8 or X16 slot, cannot use this card.

PCIe X4, X8, X16 Slot Compatibility

The adapter fits any PCIe X4, X8 or X16 slot and delivers up to 32Gbps for the NVMe drive plus 6Gbps for the SATA drive. A bundled SATA power cable provides stable power for both devices during heavy workloads.

Questions about this item

Does the PH42 package include the SATA cable or do I need to buy it separately?

The adapter ships with a dedicated SATA power cable for dual-drive operation, so no extra cable purchase is required.

My SSD is B+M Key SATA — will the PH42 run it at 6Gbps?

Yes, the PH42 accepts B+M Key NGFF SATA drives and connects them at up to 6Gbps through the SATA interface.

What does the 32Gbps NVMe rating mean when the card sits in a PCIe X4 slot?

In a PCIe X4 slot the M.2 NVMe M-Key drive can reach its full 32Gbps link speed for maximum throughput.
