Adds ten SATA 3.0 ports at 6Gbps through a single PCIe 3.0 x1 slot for 2.5" and 3.5" drives
This SMUGDESK expansion card combines the PH58 and PH57 boards to add ten independent SATA 3.0 ports through a single PCIe 3.0 X1 slot. It accepts 2.5" and 3.5" SATA hard drives and solid-state drives for large-scale storage expansion. The card works in X1, X4, X8 or X16 slots on desktop PCs and servers. A stable chip design keeps the signal steady during continuous operation.
Most motherboards offer only a handful of SATA connectors, which restricts the number of drives you can attach. This card removes that bottleneck by multiplying one slot into ten ports running at 6Gbps. The jump is worth it when you need to add many drives at once for arrays, backups or media libraries without hunting for extra controllers. It also avoids the hassle of daisy-chaining multiple smaller adapters.
The X1 edge connector slides into any mainstream PCIe slot, leaving larger slots free for graphics or other add-in cards. Ten ports let you populate numerous drive bays or hot-swap cages from a single card, reducing cable clutter and simplifying power distribution. It supports both 2.5" and 3.5" SATA drives so you can mix SSDs and hard drives in the same system. Plug-and-play installation means no extra drivers are required for basic operation.
