Connects a SATA drive to an external eSATA port while supplying power through an IDE 4-pin connector using a 50 cm cable
This 50 cm cable converts a full 22-pin SATA male connector into an eSATA female data port and an IDE 4-pin D-type power connector. It allows a 2.5 or 3.5 inch SATA drive to connect externally for data while drawing power from a standard peripheral power cable. The design targets users repurposing internal drives for external access without using motherboard eSATA ports.
The adapter passes through the native SATA signalling rate of the attached drive and host controller; it does not add bandwidth or protocol conversion. Maximum throughput is therefore bound by the drive and the host port, not by the cable itself. The fixed 50 cm length suits desktop external placement but cannot reach distant enclosures or rack-mounted gear. No active signal conditioning is present, so signal integrity relies on the quality of the host and drive PHY.
A durable PVC outer sheath protects the conductors from abrasion and electromagnetic interference during routine handling. The integrated 22-pin SATA plug mates directly with drive connectors, while the split eSATA and IDE 4-pin ends seat firmly in their respective ports and power leads. The combined data and power layout reduces cable clutter but requires both an available eSATA port and a free Molex-style power lead; systems lacking either connector cannot use the adapter.

No published specifications for this item yet.
The single 50 cm cable carries a full SATA 22Pin male plug that fits both 2.5 and 3.5 inch SATA hard disks and SSDs, so no separate version is needed.
It gives enough reach to place an external drive on the desk or in a caddy without pulling on the motherboard SATA port, yet stays short enough to avoid cable clutter inside the case.
The eSATA female port carries the SATA data signals directly, so the drive runs at the host controller’s native SATA speed without any protocol conversion.
