SMUGDESK

SMUGDESK SATA III Cable 6Gbps 90° Right Angle to Straight Locking Latch 18 Inch Blue 4 Pack

SKU CH-A0H3-0RBA9

Four 18-inch SATA III cables with 90-degree and straight locking connectors for 6Gbps drive connections

  • SATA III 6Gbps bandwidth speeds up SSD and HDD transfers
  • 90-degree right-angle plug fits tight chassis spaces
  • Locking latch secures connection against vibration
  • 18-inch length allows tidy routing in mid- and full-tower cases
  • Blue jacket and 4-pack simplify multi-drive builds

SATA III cable four-pack for storage expansion

This four-piece set supplies 6 Gbps SATA III data links for mechanical hard drives solid-state drives and optical drives. Each 18 inch cable uses a 90-degree right-angle plug on one end and a straight 180-degree plug on the other. Built-in locking latches snap onto ports to resist vibration in desktop and industrial builds.

Practical limits of the SATA III interface

The SATA 3.0 specification caps transfer bandwidth at 6 Gbps so drives faster than that ceiling cannot reach their peak throughput. Cable length is fixed at 18 inches which suits mid-tower and full-tower cases but may fall short in larger server chassis. Only SATA and eSATA devices are supported; other interfaces are not compatible.

Locking latch secures the connection

Every connector carries a locking latch that prevents accidental disconnection during transport or case movement. This single feature decides whether the cable stays seated under vibration making it the key specification for builders who prioritise link stability over maximum length.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 90-degree or straight end for my drive?

The cable has a 90-degree right-angle plug on one side and a 180-degree straight plug on the other; use the angled end where chassis space is tight and the straight end where clearance allows.

What does 6Gbps mean for my SSD or hard drive?

The 6Gbps rating is the SATA III interface ceiling; actual throughput depends on the drive itself, but the cable will not bottleneck any SATA SSD or mechanical hard drive.

Does the locking latch work with standard SATA ports?

Yes, each connector includes a locking latch that snaps onto regular SATA ports to prevent accidental disconnection from vibration or cable movement.
