Converts 80-pin SCA SCSI drives to 68-pin and 50-pin interfaces for legacy server data recovery
This adapter board converts an SCA 80-pin SCSI interface into standard 68-pin Ultra SCSI and 50-pin narrow SCSI connectors. It is designed for technicians and hobbyists who need to access legacy SCA hard drives using older host controllers for data recovery or server maintenance.
The board installs by connecting the SCA drive to the 80-pin socket and the host cable to the required 68-pin or 50-pin output. A 4-pin large D power connector must be attached to supply the drive. Onboard jumper blocks require manual configuration of SCSI ID and delay-start parameters; incorrect jumper settings are the most common cause of detection failures.
This converter only bridges SCA 80-pin drives to 68-pin or 50-pin SCSI host interfaces. It does not support modern SATA or NVMe storage drives, so builders needing to connect those interfaces cannot use this board.

The system BIOS or SCSI utility should detect the drive at the configured SCSI ID and report its capacity without errors during the initial scan.
The board includes the 80pin SCA slot, 68pin and 50pin connectors, a 4pin power input and jumper blocks; you must supply a 4pin power cable and the correct 68pin or 50pin SCSI cable for your controller.
Match the connector to your host controller: use the 68pin Ultra SCSI port for wide SCSI controllers and the 50pin narrow SCSI port for older narrow SCSI controllers.
