USB 2.0 active extension for remote peripherals

This 15 foot active repeater cable extends a USB 2.0 connection between a computer and standard Type-A devices. It removes the usual distance limit so keyboards, printers, headsets, cameras or VR gear can sit farther from the host without signal loss. No driver installation is required on Windows, Mac OS, Linux or Chrome OS.

Gold-plated connectors and built-in repeater

The male-to-female Type-A ends use gold-plated contacts to resist corrosion and maintain reliable conductivity over repeated mating cycles. An integrated signal booster inside the cable regenerates the USB 2.0 data stream, allowing the full 15 foot run while preserving compatibility with low-speed, full-speed and high-speed peripherals.

Suits setups that need extra reach without hubs

Ideal for routing a printer, scanner, security camera, VR headset or game controller across a room or behind furniture where a standard cable falls short. Not suited for applications that demand USB 3.0 or higher bandwidth, nor for buyers who need bus power delivery beyond the 2.0 specification.

Questions about this item

Does the active repeater inside the 15-foot cable need any firmware updates or replacement over time?

The cable is a passive-active hybrid with no firmware; the repeater draws power from the USB port and requires no user maintenance.

What limits the cable first when a high-bandwidth device runs continuously at 2.0 speeds?

Signal integrity over the 15-foot run is the limiting factor; the built-in repeater restores the signal so the 2.0 link stays stable.

How warm does the repeater get and does it add noticeable power draw during all-day use?

The repeater is low-power and stays near ambient temperature; it adds only the small current needed to boost the USB 2.0 signal across 15 feet.
