TZ280 High Availability unit

The SonicWall TZ280 High Availability appliance is a desktop firewall built to serve as the standby member of an HA pair. It supports up to 1000 users and one million simultaneous sessions through eight 1 GbE copper ports and two 1 G SFP interfaces. Gen 8 architecture provides SD-WAN, zero-touch deployment and centralised management via NSM for branch and small-office networks.

Sustained throughput with inspection active

Firewall inspection throughput holds at 2.5 Gbps while threat prevention, anti-malware and TLS decryption run at 1 Gbps. Application inspection and IPS throughput each sustain 1.5 Gbps, and VPN throughput reaches 1.2 Gbps. These figures represent continuous capacity under full security processing rather than short burst peaks.
