High-resolution full-frame kit

The Sony Alpha a7R IV V2 pairs a 61MP back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor with the FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM lens. It targets professional photographers who need maximum detail for large prints or heavy cropping. The 15-stop dynamic range preserves highlight and shadow information in high-contrast scenes.

Bundled lens and accessories

The constant f/2.8 aperture across the 24-70mm zoom maintains exposure while framing changes, useful for event and portrait work. Included battery, charger, strap, lens hood, case and cables let you start shooting immediately. The 567 phase-detection and 425 contrast-detection AF points cover a wide area for reliable subject tracking.

Mirrorless installation notes

Attaching the lens is a simple bayonet twist; the camera powers on and recognises the lens automatically. The electronic viewfinder and rear LCD show a live exposure preview, reducing guesswork. Buyers who want more reach than 70mm or a lighter walk-around setup will need additional lenses. The 10 fps continuous rate with full AF/AE tracking demands fast memory cards to avoid buffer delays.

Questions about this item

How often will the 61MP full-frame sensor need professional cleaning?

The sensor has no user-serviceable cleaning interval; dust reduction vibrates at each shutdown, and wet cleaning is only required when visible spots appear on images.

What limits continuous shooting at 10 fps with full AF/AE tracking?

The buffer fills after a burst of compressed RAW or JPEG frames, pausing capture until data clears to the memory card.

How hot does the body get during all-day 4K HDR video recording?

Extended 4K HDR recording raises internal temperature until the overheat warning appears, forcing a cool-down pause before recording can resume.
