The 7PC bundle adds a 128GB SanDisk Extreme PRO card reader bag blower cloth and cleaning kit.

Sustained High-Speed Operation

The stacked sensor with integrated memory maintains 30 fps continuous shooting with full AF/AE tracking across 759 phase-detection points. Real-time Eye AF keeps subjects sharp during long bursts. The 9.44m-dot EVF runs at 240 fps for blackout-free viewing. 15-stop dynamic range preserves highlight and shadow detail under prolonged high-contrast shooting.

Upgrade Path and Value

This replaces separate high-resolution and high-speed bodies by combining 50.1MP stills 8K 30p and 4K 120p 10-bit video plus 4.3K 16-bit Raw output. The jump is worth it when workflow demands both 8.6K oversampled 8K quality and 30 fps action capture. Buyers who only need one discipline may find a specialised model more cost-effective.

Questions about this item

Does the 50.1MP sensor generate noticeable heat during extended 8K 30p recording sessions?

The stacked BSI CMOS design with integrated memory manages heat efficiently during 8K 30p and 4K 120p 10-bit recording, while the 15-stop dynamic range maintains image quality during long sessions.

Which lenses are required to use the 759-point hybrid AF and 30 fps shooting on this body?

Any Sony E-mount lens compatible with the full-frame sensor will enable the 759-point Fast Hybrid AF and Real-time Eye AF at up to 30 fps continuous shooting.

Will my existing UHS-I SD cards work with the 8K video and 30 fps burst modes?

The included SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO 170MB/s card supports the 8K 30p, 4K 120p, and 30 fps lossless compressed raw workflows; slower UHS-I cards may limit buffer depth and video bitrates.
