Desktop network camera

The Sony SNC-ER550 is a desktop IP camera built around a CCD sensor that captures video at a maximum resolution of 1280 x 720. It offers a motorised tilt range of 210° for adjustable vertical coverage without moving the unit.

Wiring and mounting

The camera connects through a single cable network port and requires a 24V AC power source supplied via the included connector. A ceiling bracket, two screws and a mounting template are provided so the device can be fixed overhead instead of sitting on a flat surface.

Sustained operation

The CCD sensor maintains consistent image output during continuous monitoring without the rolling-shutter artefacts that can appear on CMOS alternatives during long recording sessions. An I/O connector allows integration with external alarms or sensors for event-driven capture.
