Compatibility

This enclosure accepts M.2 SSDs in 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths using either NVMe or SATA protocols. It works with M-key and B+M-key connectors only. B-key drives, PCIe AHCI SSDs, mSATA modules, Wi-Fi cards and capture cards are not supported. The rubber retention peg slides to match each length.

Thermals

An aluminium alloy shell acts as a heatsink and two thermal pads are included to transfer heat from the drive to the case. NVMe drives run hot under load and the metal body helps keep temperatures down without a fan. Power comes entirely from the host USB port so no external adapter is required.

Connectivity

The RTL9210B controller provides up to 10Gbps over USB 3.1 Gen 2 for NVMe drives and 6Gbps for SATA drives. Thunderbolt 3 hosts are also compatible. A 150mm USB-C to USB-C cable and a 150mm USB-A to USB-C cable are supplied for broad host compatibility. Tool-free sliding cover makes drive swaps quick.
