STARTECH 20ft White CAT8 Cable

This 20 ft white patch cord is a CAT8 shielded network cable built with 26 AWG pure bare copper conductors. It carries RJ45 connectors with snagless boots and strain reliefs for reliable insertion and removal.

Suited for 25 Gbps and 40 Gbps links

The cable supports 25 Gbps and 40 Gbps data rates at up to 2000 MHz bandwidth and handles 100 W PoE++ power delivery. Installations that only require 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps over longer runs will not need this specification.

Fluke channel tested shielded construction

Each unit passes Fluke channel testing and uses S/FTP shielding with aluminium Mylar tape over bare copper wire. The LSZH jacket meets low-smoke zero-halogen requirements for regulated environments.

Questions about this item

How far can this 20ft CAT8 cable carry 25G or 40G speeds?

The cable is rated for 25G and 40G Ethernet over its full 20ft length at 2000MHz bandwidth.

Does the S/FTP shielding and 26AWG conductors keep heat low during 100W PoE++ loads?

Pure bare copper 26AWG wires with S/FTP shielding minimise resistance, so heat stays low even at 100W PoE++.

Will the snagless RJ45 plugs fit my existing keystone jacks and switch ports?

Yes, the standard RJ45 connectors with snagless boots are compatible with any RJ45 keystone or switch port.
