Mounts a Compact Flash card in a 3.5" bay and connects it to a 40 or 44 pin IDE slot with a push-button ejector
This adapter lets you connect a Compact Flash card to a desktop computer through a standard IDE connector. It fits into any 3.5 inch drive bay or expansion slot and requires no drivers for operation. The unit supports bootable storage configurations for older platforms.
Verify that your motherboard or controller card provides a free 40 pin or 44 pin IDE slot before ordering. The adapter does not support hot-swapping, so the computer must be powered off whenever you need to change the Compact Flash card. Ensure your case has an accessible 3.5 inch bay for mounting.
The black metal enclosure mounts in a 3.5 inch bay and protects the card during daily use. A built-in push-button ejector allows easy card removal without tools. Simple jumpers on the board let you set master or slave drive modes for IDE channel configuration.
