25 ft Cat5e patch cable

This 25 ft Cat5e patch cable provides a wired Ethernet link for desktops, laptops, switches or routers. The green jacket makes it easy to identify in a crowded rack or behind a desk. It is sold new and terminated with RJ-45 plugs on both ends.

Snagless boots protect the latch

Moulded snagless boots shield the locking tab so the connector releases cleanly without catching on adjacent cables. This reduces the chance of a broken latch during routine moves or dense patch-panel work. The Cat5e rating supports Fast Ethernet speeds over the full 25 ft run.

Check port type and run length

Verify that both endpoints use standard RJ-45 ports and that 25 ft reaches between them without tension. The cable is rated for Cat5e performance, so confirm your network gear does not require a higher category for the desired throughput. Green colour coding helps match existing cable-management schemes.

Questions about this item

Does the 25 ft Cat 5e patch cable generate any heat or noise during continuous network use?

No. A passive copper patch cable has no active components, so it produces zero heat and makes no audible noise regardless of how long data flows through it.

What devices or connectors must I already have to use this 25 ft green Cat 5e cable?

You need two pieces of equipment with standard RJ-45 ports — such as a router, switch, PC, NAS, or IP camera — because the cable terminates in RJ-45 male plugs on both ends.

Will the snagless boots on this Cat 5e cable fit alongside older RJ-45 ports that have tight clearance?

Yes. The snagless moulded boots are designed to the standard RJ-45 footprint, so they seat cleanly in legacy ports without blocking adjacent jacks.
