7 ft Cat5e Snagless Patch Cable

The StarTech.com 45PATCH7GR is a 7 ft gray Cat5e UTP patch cable with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends. It is built for Fast Ethernet network connections in home offices, small business workstations or temporary wiring jobs where a short, snagless run is required.

Check connector type and required length

Verify that your router, switch or network card uses standard RJ-45 ports and that a 7 ft run reaches between devices without tension. The cable is rated for Cat5e performance, so confirm your network gear operates at Fast Ethernet speeds rather than requiring higher categories.

Snagless boots protect the locking clips

Molded snagless hoods shield the RJ-45 clips from catching on adjacent cables or panel edges during installation and removal. The gray jacket and colored hoods aid visual identification in crowded racks, while factory testing keeps Near End Crosstalk within Cat5e limits.
