Purpose and audience

This 25-foot Category 6 patch cable connects network devices such as switches, routers and computers using standard RJ-45 connectors. It is suited to home and office installations that need a visible yellow cable for easy identification. It is not intended for buyers who require longer runs beyond the supplied length or cables rated for in-wall plenum spaces.

Thermals noise and power

The cable carries up to 100 watts of Power over Ethernet, allowing compatible access points, cameras or phones to operate without separate power supplies. As a passive copper assembly it generates no heat, produces no noise and draws no power of its own. The 24 AWG stranded 100 percent copper conductors are UL rated for safe operation.

Accessories and software

The moulded strain-relief boots protect the RJ-45 plugs from bending damage during repeated insertion and removal. No software, drivers or additional adapters are bundled with the cable. The ETL verification and green compliance confirm that the assembly meets recognised safety and environmental standards.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the RJ-45 plugs on this 25 ft Cat 6 cable, and what mistake should I avoid?

Align the RJ-45 male connectors with the ports and press until the latch clicks; the common error is stopping before the latch fully engages, which leaves the link unstable.

What part of this cable is most likely to need replacement after repeated use?

The molded RJ-45 plugs and their latch tabs endure the most stress from frequent insertion and removal, so they are the first components that may require replacement.

At what distance does the 10 Gbps rating on this 250 MHz Cat 6 cable stop being guaranteed?

The 10 Gbps specification is guaranteed up to 160 ft; this 25 ft length stays well within that limit.
