StarTech Cat 6 patch cable, 7 ft

This white Category 6 patch cable measures seven feet and uses RJ45 connectors on both ends. It is built for Gigabit Ethernet and Power over Ethernet applications in home, office or rack environments. The 24 AWG solid copper conductors meet the TIA/EIA-568-B.1-2001 T568B wiring standard. Buyers who need longer runs or pre-terminated fiber should look elsewhere.

Thermals, noise and power draw

Passive copper cabling generates no heat and produces no audible noise during operation. Power delivery is handled entirely by the connected PoE equipment, so the cable itself draws no separate supply. The 500 MHz bandwidth rating supports full Gigabit throughput without signal degradation. Installations requiring active signal repeaters or optical isolation will not be satisfied by this passive assembly.

Molded strain relief and colour coding

The molded PVC boots protect each RJ45 termination from sharp bends that can fracture conductors and reduce link reliability. A white PVC jacket allows quick visual identification in dense cable bundles or colour-coded patch panels. No software, drivers or management utilities are bundled or required for operation.
