Two-Pack Vented Shelf

This two-pack provides a pair of 1U vented rack shelves designed for standard server cabinets. Each shelf supports equipment weighing up to 44 lb, making the set suitable for networking gear, small appliances or accessory storage in a data-centre or wiring closet.

Vented Design Impact

The perforated surface allows front-to-rear airflow through stored devices, reducing heat build-up without the need for active cooling fans on the shelf itself. This passive ventilation helps maintain stable operating temperatures for switches, patch panels or power strips mounted on the trays.

16-Inch Depth Capacity

At 16 inches deep, each shelf accommodates shallow to mid-depth hardware such as 1U switches, routers or cable-management trays. Deeper servers, full-length UPS units or large blade chassis will not fit, so buyers needing support for longer equipment should consider deeper alternatives.

Questions about this item

Will the mounting hardware on the CABSHELF116V2PK need periodic retightening under vibration?

The shelves use standard cage-nut mounting; check and retighten screws every six months in high-vibration racks.

At what point does the 44 lb load rating become the limiting factor during continuous operation?

The 44 lb per shelf rating is the structural limit; sustained loads above this can deform the vented tray.

How much does the brown vented tray contribute to airflow restriction when the rack runs 24/7?

The open vent pattern adds minimal resistance; shelf surface temperature tracks ambient rack temperature.
