USB-C to Dual HDMI MST Adapter

The StarTech.com MST14CD122HD connects two HDMI monitors to a single USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode. It supports dual 4K 60Hz or dual 1080p 60Hz extended or mirrored displays. A 1 ft tethered cable and bus-powered design keep the setup compact and portable. Driverless operation works immediately on Windows.

Windows Users Needing Two External Displays

This adapter suits professionals expanding a laptop workspace across two HDMI screens without a dock. It requires a host port that supplies DisplayPort 1.4 MST signalling and is not compatible with macOS. Buyers whose USB-C ports carry only data or power cannot use this device for video output.

Requires Host DP 1.4 Alt Mode with MST

The single specification that decides compatibility is whether the computer's USB-C port implements DisplayPort 1.4 Alternate Mode with Multi-Stream Transport. Without that specific host capability the adapter will not drive two independent 4K 60Hz streams.
