STARTECH

STARTECH N6PAT5BKS 5ft Black Slim CAT6 Network Ethernet Cable 28AWG 10Gbps 100W PoE LSZH

SKU CH-72F3-T11KR MPN N6PAT5BKS

Slim 28AWG Cat6 cable supports 10Gbps and 100W PoE with a flexible LSZH jacket 36% slimmer for better airflow

  • Slim 28AWG design cuts cable bulk by 36% for better airflow in tight racks
  • Pure bare copper conductors deliver 10 Gbps throughput and 100 W PoE power
  • LSZH jacket emits minimal smoke and toxic fumes during a fire event
  • Snagless RJ45 clips protect the latch from damage during frequent patch-panel changes

Slim 28AWG Cat6 cable for dense installs

This 5 ft black Cat6 patch cord uses 28 AWG pure bare copper conductors and a low-smoke zero-halogen jacket that is 36 percent slimmer than standard cables. The reduced diameter improves airflow in crowded racks and cable trays while maintaining 10 Gbps bandwidth. Gold-plated snagless RJ45 connectors resist corrosion and protect the latch during repeated moves.

Snagless RJ45 plugs and LSZH jacket

Snagless boots prevent the locking tabs from catching on adjacent cables, making adds and changes faster in tight spaces. The LSZH sheathing limits toxic smoke and halogen release if the cable is exposed to fire, meeting safety requirements for plenum and public-area runs. The construction also supports 100 W Power over Ethernet so compatible access points, cameras or VoIP phones can be powered through the same link without a separate supply.

Questions about this item

Will the 28AWG conductors need replacement sooner than thicker cables?

The 28AWG bare copper conductors are built to the same Cat6 standard as thicker cables; they do not degrade faster under normal use.

What limits the 10Gbps speed during sustained heavy traffic?

The 36% slimmer design reduces near-end crosstalk and return loss, so the Cat6 specification itself is the first limit you will reach.
