What this cable is

This is a 7-foot Cat6 UTP patch cord with RJ-45 plugs on both ends. The 28 AWG conductors make it 36 percent slimmer than standard Cat6 cables, which helps airflow in dense racks. It supports 10 Gbps data rates and 100 W Power over Ethernet. The LSZH jacket and gold-plated contacts are built for professional installations.

Check before you buy

Verify that your devices use RJ-45 ports and that a 7-foot reach is sufficient for the run. Confirm the rack or pathway can accommodate the slim 28 AWG profile and that Cat6 performance meets the link budget. The red LSZH jacket is a visual identifier; ensure the colour matches your cable-management scheme.

Who this suits

Installers who need a thin, low-smoke cable for high-density patching and PoE+ deployments will benefit. Buyers who require shielded construction, longer lengths or outdoor-rated jackets should look at something else.

Questions about this item

Does the 7 ft red CAT6 cable include both RJ-45 plugs or must I buy connectors separately?

The cable arrives with male RJ-45 connectors on both ends, so no separate plugs are required.

Should I choose the 28 AWG slim version or a thicker gauge for 10 Gbps and 100 W PoE?

The 28 AWG bare-copper construction is rated for 10 Gbps and 100 W PoE while being 36 % slimmer for tighter spaces.

Will the 10 Gbps rating hold up in a real 10GBASE-T link over this 7 ft run?

CAT6 UTP with gold-plated contacts and low NEXT/return loss supports the full 10 Gbps at this length.
