StarTech 35 ft Cat6 orange cable

This 35 ft Cat6 UTP patch cable uses RJ45 male connectors on both ends. The snagless boot design protects the locking tabs during repeated insertion and removal. Orange jacket colour helps identify the link in a busy rack or office. It is built for gigabit network connections between workstations, wall plates, hubs, switches or routers.

Suited for fixed gigabit links needing 35 ft reach

Installers running horizontal runs to wall plates or patch-panel jumpers will find the length and snagless moulding practical. Buyers who need a shorter drop, a different colour code or a shielded cable for noisy environments should look at other options. The unshielded construction also makes it less suitable for outdoor or industrial EMI zones.

35 ft length decides fit for the run

The single specification that determines whether this is the right part is the 35 ft length. Measure the exact path from device to switch or wall plate before ordering. A cable that is too short will not connect and one that is excessively long adds slack and potential signal loss.

Questions about this item

Is the 35 ft length right for my desk-to-switch run?

At 35 ft this orange Cat 6 patch cable reaches from a workstation to a wall plate, hub or switch with enough slack for routing around furniture.

What speed will I actually see on a gigabit network?

The Cat 6 rating supports full gigabit throughput, so the cable will not bottleneck a 1 Gb/s connection between your PC and the switch.

Does the RJ45 connector fit standard gigabit ports?

Both ends use standard RJ45 male plugs that seat in any gigabit Ethernet port on routers, switches or wall plates.
