6 ft Cat6 patch cable

This six-foot Category 6 patch cable uses unshielded twisted-pair construction with 24 AWG stranded copper conductors. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors at both ends follow the T568B wiring scheme. The blue PVC jacket carries a CMG fire rating and snagless boots protect the release tabs during repeated insertion. It is built for general-purpose indoor networking.

Multi-Gigabit speed limits

The cable supports 1, 2.5, 5 and 10 Gbps data rates up to 160 ft and is rated for 500 MHz bandwidth. At the full 10 Gbps rate the practical limit is shorter than the 100 m channel maximum defined for Cat6, so installers must keep runs within the 160 ft figure to maintain that top speed. PoE delivery up to 100 W is also supported across the four pairs.

Snagless boot design

The moulded snagless boots prevent the connector latch from catching on adjacent cables or panel openings, which is the single feature that determines whether the cord survives frequent moves in dense patch panels or tight desk routing.
