This six-inch Cat6 patch cord is built for installers who need a clean link between a patch panel and a switch inside a crowded cabinet. The ultra-short length removes slack that blocks airflow and makes cable management difficult. It is not suited for runs between rooms or from a wall jack to a desktop.

Cat6 limits at 250 MHz and 160 feet

The 250 MHz rating supports 10 Gbps, 5 Gbps, 2.5 Gbps and 1 Gbps signalling, but only up to the 160-foot channel limit defined for Cat6. Beyond that distance the cable cannot guarantee 10 Gbps throughput. PoE loads up to 100 watts are supported on the same conductors.

Snagless boots and stranded 24 AWG copper

Molded snagless boots protect the RJ45 tabs during repeated inserts and removals in dense patch fields. The 24 AWG stranded 100-percent copper conductors (UL E132276-A) flex easily around tight bends without breaking. Installers should verify the boot width fits their specific keystone or port density before ordering.
