Sustained throughput on long runs

The cable is rated for 10 Gbps operation up to 160 ft and supports 2.5 Gbps and 5 Gbps multi-gigabit speeds over the same distance. At 250 MHz bandwidth, near-end crosstalk remains minimised across the full length, so sustained file transfers and PoE loads stay stable without the errors that appear on lower-spec cables under continuous load. Stranded conductors also resist fatigue when the cord is moved or rerouted.

Practical limits of the Cat6 standard

Category 6 guarantees 10 Gbps only to 160 ft; beyond that distance the standard drops to 1 Gbps, so runs approaching 100 m need Cat6a or fibre. The CMG jacket meets general in-wall fire codes but is not rated for plenum spaces, so it cannot be used in air-handling ceilings without conduit. PoE delivery is supported up to 100 W per the UL rating on the 24 AWG copper.
