Yellow Cat6a S/FTP patch cable with snagless RJ45 connectors, 6 inches long

STARTECH

STARTECH NLYL-6IN-CAT6A-PATCH network ethernet cable 6in yellow Cat6a S/FTP 10G 100W PoE 27AWG 500MHz

SKU CH-JANX-J60PZ MPN NLYL-6IN-CAT6A-PATCH

A 6-inch yellow Cat6a patch cable with snagless RJ45 connectors, S/FTP shielding, 27 AWG pure copper, rated for 10 Gbps, 500 MHz bandwidth and 100 W PoE

  • Snagless RJ45 connectors protect the locking tab during frequent moves
  • S/FTP shielding with pure bare copper supports 10 Gbps at 500 MHz
  • 27 AWG conductors carry up to 100 W PoE for powered devices
  • LSZH jacket reduces toxic smoke if the cable ever burns
  • Compact 6-inch length keeps short patch links tidy in dense racks

Short Reach Cable

The StarTech NLYL-6IN-CAT6A-PATCH is a 6in yellow Cat6a patch cable built for tight server racks and patch panels. It suits network engineers who need reliable 10G links between adjacent ports without excess slack.

Shielded S/FTP Design

S/FTP shielding protects the 27AWG pure bare copper conductors from alien crosstalk in dense bundles. Snagless RJ45 connectors ease insertion and removal in crowded cabinets. The cable supports 100W PoE so power and data share one run.

LSZH Jacket Safety

A low-smoke zero-halogen jacket meets strict building codes for plenum and riser spaces. Rated to 500MHz bandwidth, the cable handles sustained 10G throughput with minimal heat rise under full PoE load.

Questions about this item

Does the 500 MHz bandwidth hold up on a 10 Gbps link that runs continuously?

The cable is rated for 500 MHz and 10 Gbps, so the bandwidth ceiling is built to handle sustained 10 Gbps traffic.

Will the 27 AWG conductors get warm when the cable carries 100 W PoE all day?

At 27 AWG the conductors are sized for the 100 W PoE rating, so heat rise stays within the design limits for continuous operation.

What port type do I need on my switch and device for this cable to work?

Both ends use standard RJ45 connectors, so any switch and device with RJ45 ports will accept the cable.
