Parallel Combo Card for Legacy I/O

The StarTech PCI2S1P2 adds two DB9 serial ports and one DB25 parallel port through a single PCI slot. It uses a 16C550 UART to provide hardware buffering for reliable data transfer. The card ships with a full-profile bracket and low-profile alternatives for compact chassis.

Suits industrial and point-of-sale setups

This card targets users who must connect legacy RS-232 instruments, barcode scanners or parallel printers to a modern desktop. It is not for systems that lack a free PCI slot or for builds that require USB or PCIe native interfaces instead.

Steady throughput on long print jobs

The 16C550 UART maintains consistent flow control during extended print runs or continuous serial logging. FIFO buffers reduce CPU interrupts so sustained data streams stay stable without software overhead spikes.
