Wall-Mount 12U Server Cabinet

The STARTECH RK12WALHM is a 12U wall-mount cabinet designed to hold servers and networking equipment in space-constrained environments. It suits IT administrators and small-business installers who need a secure, enclosed rack without consuming floor space. The black steel frame supports up to 198.90 lbs of equipment. Its 17-inch depth accommodates shallow-depth hardware.

Hinged Enclosure With Adjustable Rails

The cabinet mounts directly to the wall, freeing floor area while keeping patch panels, switches and shallow servers accessible. A hinged design swings the entire enclosure away from the wall for front and rear access during installation and maintenance. Adjustable 12-24 mounting rails let you position gear at the required depth. The package includes 48 cage nuts, 48 screws, a 1U shelf and hook-and-loop fasteners for cable management.

Locked Steel Doors And Solid Rear Panel

A steel-mesh front door and solid steel rear door both feature key locks to protect mission-critical hardware. The front door is removable and reversible to suit the mounting location. Two side panels with separate keys complete the physical security. Overall dimensions are 25.10" high, 23.60" wide and 21.70" deep, allowing the unit to fit standard wall stud spacing. Passive airflow through the mesh door dissipates heat without integrated fans.

Questions about this item

How much weight can the 12U rack hold before the wall mounts become the limiting factor?

The cabinet is rated for 198.90 lbs total capacity; ensure your wall structure and fixings can support that load plus the enclosure weight.

Does the solid steel back door and mesh front door provide enough passive airflow for equipment running continuously?

The mesh front door allows front-to-back airflow while the solid rear contains cables; add active fans if your gear generates high heat in a closed room.

What wall type and fixings are needed to mount the 25.10 x 23.60 x 21.70 inch enclosure securely?

You must supply lag bolts or concrete anchors rated for the 198.90 lb load; the package includes only the cage nuts, screws and hook-and-loop fasteners for internal gear.
