8U Open Frame Wall Mount Rack

This 8U open-frame wall-mount rack holds servers, network gear and telecom equipment in a compact footprint. It suits installers who need a simple, rugged frame that can be fixed to a wall or used free-standing. Flat packaging keeps transport easy and assembly is straightforward with included hardware.

12 Inch Mounting Depth Constraint

The 12 inch mount depth limits the length of equipment that can be installed. Deeper servers or appliances will not fit, so buyers must verify chassis dimensions before purchase. The 16 inch centre-to-centre wall mounting spacing also dictates where studs or anchors can be placed.

Replaces Bulkier Floor Cabinets

This rack replaces full-height floor cabinets when only a few rack units are required and floor space is scarce. The jump is worth it for small offices, wiring closets or edge sites where an 8U capacity meets current needs and future growth is unlikely to exceed the depth limit.

Questions about this item

What does the 8U rating tell me about how many devices I can install?

Eight rack units give you room for up to eight 1U items such as patch panels, switches or shallow servers, or any combination that adds up to 8U.

What does the 176.8 lbs weight capacity mean once the rack is on the wall?

The frame can hold up to 176.8 lbs of mounted equipment when secured to studs or masonry with the included hardware.

How does the 12 inch mount depth limit what equipment fits?

Only devices 12 inches deep or less will sit fully inside the rack; deeper chassis would protrude beyond the mounting posts.
