8U Open Frame Wall Mount Rack

The StarTech RK812WALLOA is an 8U open frame wall mount equipment rack built from steel with a black finish. It provides a compact mounting platform for network and telecommunications gear in spaces where floor standing cabinets are impractical.

Adjustable depth suits varied equipment

Installers who need flexible rail positioning benefit from the 12 to 20 inch adjustable depth range. Buyers requiring enclosed sides, lockable doors or a deeper fixed chassis should consider alternative form factors.

Mounts to standard stud spacing

The rack mounts to wooden studs on 16 inch centres and can also be fixed to concrete or steel surfaces. Its EIA RS310-C compliance ensures compatibility with standard 19 inch rackmount hardware while the open frame design leaves cable routing unrestricted.

Questions about this item

What wall structure do I need to mount the rack using the 16-inch centre-to-centre holes?

The mounting holes are spaced 16 inches apart to align with standard wooden studs, and the rack can also be fixed to concrete or steel walls with appropriate anchors.

Can I install equipment deeper than 20.08 inches on the adjustable rails?

No, the rails adjust between 12 and 20 inches, so the maximum supported mounting depth is 20.08 inches; deeper devices will not fit.

How can I verify the rack meets the EIA RS310-C standard after installation?

Confirm that the vertical mounting rails have the standard 19-inch hole pattern and that the rack provides exactly 8U of usable rack space.
