It carries Apple MFi certification and is reinforced with DuPont Kevlar aramid fibre for high tensile strength. The soft TPE jacket and extended strain relief are tested to 10 000 bend cycles at 180 degrees and 5 000 insertion cycles. Nickel-plated contacts and aluminium-Mylar foil with braid shielding complete the build.
