The SFP10GPC3M is a passive SFP+ Twinax cable built for 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections between switches, servers or storage appliances. It replaces fiber modules with a lower-cost copper run while keeping full 10 GbE throughput. Network engineers and data-centre technicians use it for short-haul links where fiber would be over-specified.

Latching SFP+ Ends Enable Hot-Swap Rack Work

Both ends carry a latching SFP+ plug that seats directly into standard SFP+ ports without transceivers. The 30 AWG, 100-ohm twinax construction meets SFF-8431 and SFF-8432 mechanical and electrical specs, so the cable is interchangeable with compliant fiber or copper modules. Hot-swappable insertion lets technicians add or replace links without powering down the rack.

Passive Design Draws Under 0.1 W and Runs Silent

With no active electronics the cable consumes less than 0.1 W, adding negligible heat to the cabinet and requiring no external power. The absence of active components also means zero fan noise, making it suitable for quiet lab or office-adjacent racks.
