The integrated USB 3.0 hub adds high-speed peripheral sharing to the core switching function.

DisplayPort 1.2 Interface Limits

Video passes through a DisplayPort 1.2 link, so the highest supported timing is 3840x2160 at 60 Hz. Lower resolutions such as 2560x1600, 2560x1440 and 1920x1200 are also available. The console USB ports operate at USB 1.1 speeds for keyboard and mouse, while the two transparent USB 3.0 ports handle storage or other high-bandwidth devices. Audio is restricted to two-channel stereo over 3.5 mm connections.

Dual-Computer Constraint

The switch only accommodates two computer connections, so any environment requiring three or more sources must look elsewhere. Each attached system needs a DisplayPort output, a USB Type-B 3.0 link and 3.5 mm audio cables to use every feature.
