Adjustable actuation keyboard

The SteelSeries Apex Pro 64626 is a wired mechanical gaming keyboard that uses OmniPoint 2.0 switches. Each key lets you set an actuation point from .4 millimeter to 3.6 millimeter for per-key sensitivity tuning. An integrated OLED smart display shows game data, Spotify tracks and Discord alerts. Per-key RGB lighting offers 16.8 million colours across the black aluminium frame. A detachable magnetic wrist rest is included.

USB port and software check

Verify that your system has a free USB port for the wired connection. The keyboard supports Windows, Mac OS X, Xbox and PlayStation at the hardware level. For full per-key actuation control and OLED configuration you need SteelSeries Engine 3.15 or newer on Windows 7 or later, or Mac OSX 10.11 or later. No extra drivers are required for basic typing and lighting functions.

Gamers who want per-key control

This board suits competitive players who need the fastest possible response and the ability to tune every key independently. The OLED display adds at-a-glance info without alt-tabbing. Buyers who prefer a fixed actuation feel, a wireless connection, or a compact layout without a number pad should look at something else. The aluminium chassis adds weight that may not suit frequent transport.
