Micro-ATX server board with an onboard Xeon E3-1585 v5, 64 GB DDR4 ECC SO-DIMM capacity, dual Intel I350 gigabit LAN, six SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports with RAID, and IPMI via Aspeed AST2400 BMC
The Supermicro MBD-X11SSH-GF-1585-O is a Micro ATX server motherboard with an onboard Intel Xeon E3-1585 v5 processor in an FCBGA1440 package. It integrates the Intel C236 chipset and supports up to 64 GB of unbuffered ECC DDR4 SO-DIMM memory across four slots running at 2133 MHz. The board provides dual Intel I350 Gigabit LAN ports and an Aspeed AST2400 BMC for remote management.
This board fits builders deploying space-constrained 1U or 2U Supermicro SuperChassis systems that need integrated graphics and IPMI. It is not suited for users who need full-length PCIe x16 expansion cards or more than two dedicated expansion slots. Buyers requiring higher core counts or multi-socket capability should look at larger platform motherboards.
The soldered quad-core Xeon E3-1585 v5 operates at a 65 W TDP and includes GT4e Iris Pro graphics with 128 MB eDRAM for 4K output. This fixed processor choice determines the thermal envelope and performance ceiling for the entire platform.

Compatible 1U chassis include the SC813MFTQC-350CB, SC813MFTQC-R407CB, SC113MFAC2-605CB, SC113MFAC2-R606CB, SC512F-350B, and SC813MTQ-350CB. 2U options are the SC823TQ-653LPB and SC213LT-563LPB. The SC833T-653B fits 3U, while SC731i-300B and SC732I-500B suit mid-tower builds. The SC842i-500B supports 4U or tower configurations.
The processor is permanently soldered to the FCBGA1440 socket; there is no separate CPU installation step. The common error is attempting to remove or replace the BGA processor, which cannot be done without specialised rework equipment.
Four unbuffered ECC DDR4 SO-DIMMs rated at 2133 MHz are needed to populate all four slots and achieve the 64 GB limit.
