1100W replacement for Dell R620 R720 T620 R520

This 1100 watt server power supply is built as a direct replacement for Dell PowerEdge R620, R720, T620 and R520 systems. It matches the original 0YT39Y and 038GYJ part numbers so administrators can restore redundancy or replace a failed unit without rewiring. The unit fits the standard hot-swap bay used by these platforms.

Thermals noise and power draw in normal use

The supply delivers up to 1100 watts to the server while drawing only what the installed components require. Internal fans adjust speed to the thermal load, keeping exhaust temperatures within the chassis design limits during typical workloads. Acoustic output remains consistent with the original Dell specification for data-centre deployment.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 1100W power supply in a Dell R720 and what step is often missed?

Slide the unit into the chassis bay until the latch clicks, then tighten the captive thumbscrew to lock it in place; the thumbscrew is the step most people forget.

What maintenance will the 1100W supply need during its life in a T620?

Clean the intake vents and internal fan every six to twelve months with compressed air to prevent dust build-up that can raise temperatures and shorten fan life.
