Compatible Replacement for IBM X3400

This 670W server power supply is designed as a direct replacement for the DPS-670BB A unit used in IBM X3400 and X3500 systems. It matches part numbers 24R2719 and 24R2720 for straightforward identification. System administrators maintaining these specific rackmount servers can use this unit to restore redundant power capability.

Practical Limits of Proprietary Server Form Factor

This supply uses a proprietary mechanical and electrical interface exclusive to the IBM X3400 and X3500 platforms. It cannot be installed in standard ATX chassis or adapted for other server models without manufacturer-specific backplane compatibility. Buyers must verify the exact server model and part number before purchase, as the connector pinout and physical keying prevent cross-platform use.
